The Liberty Hill Independent newspaper has been in business since October 1987. We strive to provide the Liberty Hill community with their hometown news. We are independently owned by husband and wife team, Dan and Diane Pogue.

The Liberty Hill Independent School District has been the heart of the Liberty Hill community for many years. The Pogues have been active in covering school news since 1989 and continue to support Liberty Hill students. Liberty Hill incorporated as a city in 1999. The Liberty Hill Independent has covered the new City Council since the very beginning.

Liberty Hill is growing at an incredible rate as families leave Austin to move to the country. Businesses are beginning to move to Liberty Hill also.

We are Liberty Hill's hometown newspaper and hope we can help to keep that wonderful "small town" atmosphere in Liberty Hill for many years to come.
